The MultiView screen displays multiple cameras or events on one screen. Open the MultiView Screens dialog, if you would like to configure a screen.

The Multiwatcher screen can display several cameras, the last event and an alarm list for each camera and also offers sound notification and alarm acknowledgement.

A camera's Multiwatcher can be used to show the images from several cameras and to work as a proxy for these cameras. This feature is especially interesting behind a firewall or a router, since you only need to open one port for access the Multiwatcher camera from the outside to see the images and the events of all displayed cameras.

PDA Event List The PDA Event List displays an overview of the stored events in form of a list, also for low-resolution devices.

Operating Mode

Select how the browser gets the images from the camera:

  • JavaScript: The browser executes a JavaScript that pulls the images from the camera using the desired frame rate. This operating mode is available for all JavaScript-capable browsers.
  • Server Push: The camera sends ("pushes") the images to the browser in one image stream. This operating mode is available for all Netscape-type browsers (Netscape, Mozilla, Firefox).
  • ActiveX: Uses the integrated ActiveX plug-in, if Internet Explorer on Windows computers is being used. Besides other enhanced options, the ActiveX plug-in also offers the possibility to hear the lip-synchronous sound as it is recorded by the camera microphone. Read The Live Screen of the MOBOTIX Camera help page for further information.
  • Java: The browser downloads and runs a Java applet, that shows the camera's images. This operating mode should only be used if none of the other methods seem to work.
Page Refresh Rate Set a period of time after which the camera reloads the page completely. This can eliminate problems with certain browsers.
Preview Mode You can use the Preview mode for all camera screens. In Preview mode, the camera screens only show small preview images, thus drastically saving on bandwidth. Image size is fixed at 160x120 pixels when the camera shows the image of one sensor and 320x160 pixels for two image sensors. The Preview mode applies to theGuest, Live, Player and MultiView screens.
